Last weekend Cardiff City Rugby League travelled to Gloucester to face their reserve side, two of our first team players also went along as we had some exciting news that would be announced after the game.

As I stated a few weeks ago, we were very lucky to have organised a pathway with Super League club Hull KR,this was a clear way for players to gain opportunities on the biggest level of rugby league in the U.K.,the trip to Gloucester was not only for both sides to gain some time before both their seasons began but Gloucester All Golds wanted to announce that there was also another pathway for players to play in Championship 1.

With ourselves playing in conference league south a league below championship one Cardiff city players had opportunities to step up to ourselves and even to have game time if good enough with Gloucester, this was a great partnership for all three clubs to make sure that everyone involved in each club would benefit from the partnership.

As the week moved on myself and Jon Ellis sat down to make a start on organising our next trip to Hull,we shall be looking to make our way just after the Easter break,it shall be another exciting time for the club as we look to spend a little more time with the City of Hull Academy.
