Marie Curie Wales are encouraging local clubs, groups and associations to book a bespoke in-person or virtual talk with one of their volunteer speakers, and find out more about the services that the charity provides to the local community. They have a team of volunteers right across Wales who are fully trained and eager to share interesting and useful information, and are happy to tailor their talk to their host’s specific requirements.

Now more than ever Marie Curie nurses and frontline staff are needed to provide vital care, expertise and compassion to dying people and their families, in their homes and their hospices across the UK. Marie Curie is the UK’s leading charitable funder of palliative and end of life care research, and their Information and Support line and ‘Check In and Chat’ service provide practical or clinical information and emotional support for people living with or caring for someone with a terminal illness.

By raising awareness of these services, the charity hopes to be able to support more local people through all aspects of dying, death and bereavement.

Marie Curie rely on the generosity of the public to deliver care and guidance to families across the UK affected by terminal illness.
