Dear Editor
Volunteers Week takes place 1-7 June every year. It’s a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities and to say ‘thank you’ to them.
The theme of Volunteers’ Week 2023 is ‘a time to celebrate and inspire’.
The aim is to highlight that our diversity is our strength, show that there’s more than one way to volunteer and encourage people to be the change that they want to see.
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice – in fact, they make up a large percentage of our Tŷ Hafan family.
We have over 500 volunteers in a variety of roles and the contribution of each and every one of them is integral to our ability to care for children with life-shortening conditions and their families in Wales.
So we’d like to use this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers across Wales and to say once again just how grateful we are for their time, effort and priceless support.
If you’re online then please do check out Tŷ Hafan’s social media channels to see more about how we’re thanking our volunteers as well as how we’re encouraging more volunteers to join us.
Finally, if you would like to receive more information on volunteering for Tŷ Hafan, please email volunteering@tyhafan.org or call 02920 532 254.
Kind regards
Sarah Roberts
