As all we geeks know, the Film and Comic Con came back to Cardiff early this year. I have to say I did enjoy it a lot more this time as opposed to 2015s Comic Con, but, this time I wore the right shoes. Last year all I could focus on was how much my feet hurt so to those out there, were a pair of trainers… there’s a lot of walking!

Cardiff Comic Con

Oh also if you’re going to next years Comic Con, bring more than a few quid. It’s ridiculously expensive in there. Granted the best deal I bought in there was three t-shirts for four pounds each bud just make sure you take a hell of a wad people. I wanted to get an auto graph from Peter Mayhew aka Chewbacca but I couldn’t afford if cause it cost forty quid. (The most expensive one there) couldn’t believe it!

Bobba Fett is alive and well at Cardiff Comic Con

As I walked around observing everyone dressed up in costume, I couldn’t help but notice a few characters that stood out. Yes I saw Spiderman. Yes I saw Batman. I even saw Jay and Silent Bob but it was almost as if Comic Con seemed to spew up Deadpool and Rey from the new Star Wars movie. I’m not complaining, it was totally awesome. I couldn’t believe how popular these two characters had grown in such a short space of time (especially Rey) I mean there must’ve been at least thirty of them!

Great Costumes at Comic Con

So as I spent the entire day just walking around looking at the sights (and believe me there were a lot of sights) I could look forward to a good interview from one of the guest celebrities. I tried to get one from Peter Mayhew but he seemed to have disappeared, so I got one from none other than Mr Danny John Jules aka The Cat from BBCs Red Dwarf. I have to say he’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and he really hasn’t aged a day. I only wish we could’ve spoken for longer. I only hope someday we’ll meet again and do so.
