Having analysed the entries and votes, thortful can reveal the most embarrassing and slightly cringy moments of fatherhood as voted for by the British public.

  • In a crowded supermarket, my toddler loudly pointed at a woman and shouted, “Look Daddy! That lady has a moustache, just like you!
  • While waiting in line at the bank, my daughter announced, “Daddy, I can see your underwear sticking out!” Turns out, my fly on my trousers was down!
  • During a school Christmas concert, my daughter ran up to the principal and shouted, “Guess what? My dad has a secret crush on you!” I awkwardly tried to explain that it was just big misunderstanding
  • At a family meal, my little one thought it would be hilarious to pull down my pants while I was chatting to my grandmother. Lets just say it was an unforgettable afternoon.
  • While at the park, my daughter innocently asked another parent, “Do you know why my daddy has a bald spot? It’s because I drive him crazy!” Cue the awkward laughter.
  • At sports day, I took part in the parent’s egg and spoon race and face-planted the floor within the first 10 meters. Safe to say I will never take part in the race again!
  • My wife still reminds me of the time I sent my son to nursery with her knickers clinging to his rucksack. Luckily the teacher noticed before the whole of the nursery group saw and put it in his rucksack back pocket.
  • I once did a nappy change in a café toilets and my baby decided to have a poonami all over my white t-shirt, note to always bring spare clothes when we go out again!
  • My two-year-old child walked into our office at home when I was on a very important Zoom business call! The joys of working from home!
  • We were queuing for a ride at a theme park on holiday when my son shouted “my dad has just farted and it’s really smelly”!
