On Tuesday (130623) an orchard’s fencing was broken down and a very valuable and fruiting Cherry tree was cut down. A spokesperson for the disabled horticulturist saidĀ “What sort of world is it when it’s OK to murder these beautiful trees? We’re in the midst of a environmental crisis and those of us that plant trees to try and help cant plant them faster than morons can cut them down. I am profoundly worried that trees in Ffair Rhos are being cut down every year and soon there wont be any left. Its the morons that should be unsustainable not the trees.”
The criminal damage was reported to the Dyfed-Powys police. Spokesperson for the disabled horticulturist Dylan Williams said “Maybe we need more Tree Protection Orders on all our beautiful trees in Wales. We’ve written to the King and suggested he launch a Royal Society for the Protection of Trees the RSPT. These criminals needs stopping. Dont bother planting trees in Wales unless you can protect them and give them standing at law, so their rights to life are protected like that of the morons who murder them. To quote the actor Peter Finch: ‘We’re as mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore!'”
