MOBILE HEART SCREENING COMING TO YOUR AREA

Calon Heart Screening and Defibrillators is excited and proud to announce that, with the help of Loteri Cymru funding, our long-awaited Mobile Heart Screening is hitting the road nationwide and will be holding pop-up heart screening clinics in a town near you soon!

Not had your heart screened yet?  Calon Hearts can’t stress enough the importance of getting your heart screened.  It really can be lifesaving; these statistics speak louder than words;

• Based on our current ECG heart screening sessions, we found that 1 in 4 screenings revealed the need for further investigation with an Echo Cardiogram
• Nearly 25% of sudden deaths in young people occurred in competitive adults with undiagnosed heart conditions
• 12 young people die every week in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions

At Calon Hearts is determined to do all we can to erase these tragic statistics.

We are on the look-out for further suitable venues across Wales, so if you would like to suggest a possible venue in your town we would love to hear from you. We’re keen to come to West, Mid and North Wales in order to screen the hearts of the nation and save as many lives as we can. All we ask is for is a donation of £180 per Heartscreening to cover medical costs.

Calon Hearts was founded 10 years ago and since that time we have screened nearly 15,000 people for life-threatening heart defects, installed nearly 28,000 defibrillators and trained nearly 85,000 in CPR.

The charity is determined to continue its life-saving work but relies solely on the generosity and support of the public to do this and the charity’s own fundraising events.
