As road trips go this one is out of this world – a trip across the UK to visit the most notorious UFO sighting spots ever recorded.
Vacation car rental experts at Stressfreecarrental.com have revealed the sites where Brits are most likely to catch a glimpse of aliens.
A freedom of information request revealed there were almost 500 reported UFO sightings last year, which continue to puzzle UK authorities.
Along the road trip, alien hunters will cover destinations such as Leeds, Edinburgh and Devon, where locals report to have seen mysterious objects in the night sky.
Here are the locations for Stressfreecarrental’s Out of this World Alien road trip:
- Devon- UFO’s along the coast
In May of this year, a dogwalker recorded a UFO skirting the sea at Maidencombe Beach, which is just one of the strange events reported along the coast
- Suffolk- Rendlesham Forest UFO Sighting
The Rendlesham Forest incident, known as one of the most famous sightings in the UK, was a series of reported sightings of unexplained lights back in late December 1980.
- Pembrokeshire, Wales- Broad Haven Primary School sighting
Back in 1977, there was a UFO sighting by a group of Pembrokeshire schoolchildren in the field beside their school.
- Leeds – Black craft sightings
In June 2022, there were 2 reported sightings of black triangular UFOs hovering in the skies.
- Yorkshire -Ilkley Moors Incident
On 1 December 1987, there was a reported alien abduction in the moor where the victim claimed to have photographed one of the extraterrestrials that abducted him.
6. Edinburgh, Scotland – UFO A70 Incident
Back in 1992 two Edinburgh men claimed to have been abducted along the A70 road, in a case so baffling it was sent to the Ministry of Defence to look into.
- Perthshire, Scotland- The Calvine photo
The Calvine photo was taken in Perthshire back in August 1990 and is regarded as one of the clearest and most mysterious UFO pictures ever taken.
- Belfast, Ireland- UFO captured in the skies
In August last year, a dogwalker captured strange images of a UFO above North Belfast.
A spokesperson from Stressfreecarrental.com said: “For anyone interested in UFOs, now is the perfect time to investigate these unsolved mysteries which continue to baffle experts.
“Findings from the NASA public meeting show it’s more likely than ever aliens do really exist.
“This is the ideal summer road trip across the UK, which will allow tourists to visit several stunning locations including Edinburgh and Suffolk, whilst also giving tourists the opportunity to explore the places where aliens may have visited from outer space.
“Drivers will head to the sites of some of the most significant UFO sightings ever recorded, including where the Ickley Moors incident allegedly occurred in Yorkshire and the Broad Haven Primary School sightings in Pembrokeshire.”
The journey starts in Devon, where a local dog walker recently spotted a UFO dive into the sea, and there have been countless sightings of strange bright lights caught on camera making it a UFO hotspot.
Next, UFO hunters will go to Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, the site of possibly the most famous UFO sighting in the UK, where back in December 1980, there were a series of reported sightings of unexplained lights.
The cause of the sightings remains a mystery, and this case has proven to be one of the UK’s most compelling UFO cases, because of the strong implication that this visitation was of non-human or extraterrestrial origin.
Drivers will next head to Wales, where perhaps the country’s most convincing UFO encounter happened over 40 years ago when a group of Pembrokeshire school children spotted a UFO in a field opposite their playground, some even claimed to have seen a figure in a silver suit getting out.
The journey then moves north to Leeds, also dubbed a UFO hotspot because of its frequent sightings from locals, where a v-shared dark craft was recently spotted hovering in the skies.
The spokesperson from Stressfreecarrental.com reminds tourists taking on the road trip, which spans over 1000 miles and visits the most important sites for UFO hunters, that there are dozens more places of reported UFO sightings along the course of the journey.
Alien hunters will then travel to Yorkshire, the site of the Ilkley Moors Incident, where in 1987 a retired police officer claimed to have been abducted by aliens while on his morning and held on a craft before being returned to the moor.
On the day he claims to have been abducted, he says he also came into contact with an alien figure he photographed and is still studied by experts.
Next on the journey is Edinburgh, Scotland, which is the most common city in the UK for residents believing they have spotted a UFO, with 18% of Edinburgh’s residents claiming to have had a legitimate sighting according to research commissioned by National Geographic.
It is also where the A70 incident took place, where two friends were travelling when they claimed their car was hit by a light and they were approached by six humanoid characters who forced them to undergo physical examination and imprisoned them in a glass container.
Although terrifying, this is an exciting prospect for those with an interest in UFOs, making Edinburgh a place alien hunters want to take advantage of.
Alien hunters will then travel to Perthshire, Scotland, another place enthusiasts won’t want to miss as the site of where one of the clearest UFO pictures ever was taken.
The Calvine photo shows a 100ft diamond-shaped object in the sky, which allegedly hovered above the A9 near Calvine for 10 minutes before soaring off at high speed when buzzed by RAF jets, making it a quintessential site for everyone with an interest in UFOs.
The final stop on the trip is Belfast, Ireland, where there has been a flurry of sightings over the years which have been investigated by the police including white lights and ‘strange images’ on CCTV.
Three former US military officials recently told Congress the government knows more about UFOs than they tell the public.
Their testimonies reported the existence of “non-human” biological matter in possession of the US government – i.e., the existence of aliens.
Yesterday, the Nasa probe into hundreds of UFO sightings concluded saying they could not rule out the possibility of aliens being behind the unexplained phenomena.
