The first hustings with all candidates represented in the Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire constituency took place on Thursday 21st of April in Narberth.
The event was organised by Friends of the Earth.
Speaking after the event Plaid Cymru’s Simon Thomas said:
“I was pleased to take part in the Friends of the Earth hustings.
“This election in May is about Wales. It is your opportunity to choose a new government for our nation. Wales needs a new government to end Labour’s legacy of failure.
“Plaid Cymru will provide the leadership needed to strengthen our NHS, to create and share wealth.
“This part of Wales has great advantages as we build a more sustainable, greener future. I will work to ensure we benefit here from exciting next generation renewable developments such as the Swansea Bay barrage and other tidal schemes.
“I will promote local food and much higher local procurement to support our farmers and businesses. We must work together to demonstrate how this nation can be at the forefront of combating climate change.
“By 2035 Plaid Cymru would want to ensure 100 per cent of our electricity to come from renewable sources.”
