Ashmole & Co’s latest recruit has 30 years of work experience, both within the NHS and local accountancy firms and in her spare time is studying for a degree in Accounting & Finance.
The south and mid Wales firm of accountants are delighted to welcome Julie Walters to the role of Accounts Clerk in the Carmarthen office.
Julie is originally from Carmarthen and now lives in Pontyberem. For 20 years she worked as an Information Analyst in the NHS which involved collating waiting list data on how long patients were waiting for treatment. She then went on to work for an accountancy firm part time where she progressed to an accountancy role.
Day to day with Ashmole & Co, Julie prepares financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. She also prepares and submits VAT returns.
Welcoming Julie to the team, Carwyn Morgan, Partner in the Carmarthen Ashmole & Co office, said, “We are delighted to have Julie, with all her previous experience, join our team. I admire her enthusiasm to study part time with the Open University for a degree in Accounting and Finance alongside working full time with our team.”
Julie is married with three daughters. The eldest is teaching English in Vietnam, her middle daughter has just graduated from university and her youngest is in secondary school. During any spare time she has, Julie enjoys travelling, gardening and binge watching a Netflix series.
Commenting on her appointment Julie said, “I work with a great team who are friendly and helpful. I find it very rewarding to provide a high quality service to our clients and being able to help with any queries they have. I enjoy learning new things and working with numbers so this is my ideal job.”
