A specialist Italian market will be returning to Swansea city next week.

The market will be available on Oxford Street from Wednesday May 11 to Saturday May 14.

Open from 9am to 5.30pm on all four days, the market will include a wide selection of Italian pasta, bread and pastries. Salami, olives, dried fruits, nuts, fudge and liquorice will also be available.

Swansea Council is again bringing the market to the city centre in partnership with a company called Med Food.

Sarah Lawton, from the council’s city centre team, said: “These markets are always very popular because they add more vibrancy and colour to the city centre, while giving shoppers a wide selection of foods from the continent right on their doorstep.

“The same market was held on Oxford Street at the start of April, so we hope next week’s selection of stalls will be just as popular.

“These types of attractions combine with the indoor market and the city centre’s range of shops and other businesses to make Swansea the regional shopping capital of South West Wales.”
