Thereâs South Wales Scorpions Rugby League action to enjoy at Caerphilly RFC all weekend as both the clubâs first and second teams are in action.
First up is the Scorpionsâ under 20s as they take Oxford RLFC reserves on Saturday at Virginia Park (kick-off 3pm) while the first team take on Barrow Raiders in Kingstone Press League 1 on Sunday (kick-off 3pm).
Head of youth Paul Emanuelli, who is also expected to turn out against Barrow on Sunday, canât wait for the big weekend at Virginia Park.
âI’m really looking forward to Saturdayâs challenge against Oxford Reserves,â he said.
âWill Brewer at Oxford has been fantastic to deal with and I know he’s as enthusiastic about this fixture as I am.
âWe’ve stepped training up this week and we now face three big tests in the next five weeks with Hemel reserves away and Salford academy to follow this one.
âThe lads are really excited and hopefully these next three fixtures will provide a huge test for our young enthusiastic squad.
âItâs certainly going to be a big weekend with Barrow Raiders coming down from Cumbria to face the first team on Sunday. I hope we get a big crowd in for both games.â
Admission to Saturdayâs reserve match is ÂŁ3 from adults, ÂŁ1 for juniors. Tickets for Scorpions v Barrow Raiders, priced ÂŁ8 for adults, ÂŁ5 concessions and ÂŁ1 juniors are available from www.scorpionsrl.com.
