AA Campsites of the Year

England and Overall – The Quiet Site, Cumbria

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsites of the Year England and Overall, The Quiet Site, “On arrival at this wonderful park guests can enjoy the stunning views of the lake and surrounding fells. Equally impressive is owner Daniel Holder’s commendable ethos on sustainability and for achieving such exemplary standards in developing one of the greenest parks in the country, the park is 90% self-sufficient as energy is powered through solar panels, a biomass boiler and three ground source heat pumps.”

Scotland – Sands of Luce Holiday Park, Dumfries & Galloway

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsites of the Year Scotland, Sands of Luce Holiday Park“Located in the rolling Galloway hills and overlooking the vast golden sands of Luce Bay, this well-managed and presented holiday park offers positive first impressions on arrival and this feeling just gets better as you explore the park and all it has to offer. In addition, the new accessible path to the beach and the town has been well received, as have the new electric vehicle charging points. Scotland’s stand out park for 2023–24.”

Wales – Home Farm Caravan Park, Anglesey

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsites of the Year Wales, Home Farm Caravan Park“Within a peaceful rural setting close to Moelfre beach, Home Farm Caravan Park is a long-established holiday destination. It’s a first-class park run with passion and enthusiasm by Catrin Jones, who offers excellent customer care. It is set in an elevated and secluded position sheltered by trees, with landscaping that includes both indigenous and cultivated plants. The peaceful rural setting affords views of farmland, the sea, and the mountains of Snowdonia. Worthy winners of the AA Wales Campsite of the Year.”

AA Campsites of the Year – England regional winners

Heart of England –  Fields End Water Caravan Park & Fishery, Cambridgeshire

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsite of the Year Heart of England Fields End Water Caravan Park & Fishery“A meticulously planned and well-executed park that makes excellent use of its slightly elevated position in the Fens. Woodside Paddock was re-developed in 2023 and now offers six fully serviced gravel pitches, new planting, and a refurbished toilet block. Guests can expect high levels of customer care, excellent security, and peaceful surroundings.”

North East – St Helens in the Park, North Yorkshire
An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsite of the Year Northeast England, St Helens in the Park“Set on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, this delightfully landscaped park is immaculately maintained and thoughtfully laid out; the stunning floral displays around the park are noteworthy, with extensive wildflower planting attracting a wealth of wildlife. Throughout the park, mature tree varieties of an arboretum standard combine with indigenous plants to create an ambience of peace and tranquillity.”

North West – Manor Wood Country Caravan Park, Chesire

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsite of the Year Northwest England, Manor Wood Country Caravan Park“Less than 20 miles from historic Chester, with its reminders of a Roman past, many attractions and quality shopping opportunities, this secluded, beautifully landscaped park is set in a tranquil country setting with extensive views across the Cheshire Plain towards the Welsh hills. A well-deserved winner for the North West region.”

South East – Ninham Country Holidays, Isle of Wight

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsite of the Year Southeast England, Ninham Country Holidays“A delightful, well-maintained park set in 10-acre landscaped grounds on a working farm in a wooded valley surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, and fine country views. First impressions count, of course – guests drive between fields of sweetcorn along a well surfaced access road to reach the reception and the very spacious grass pitches beyond; all are informally arranged and edged with wildflowers and new hedging that is maturing well to provide optimum privacy. It is a great place for families and is close to Shanklin and Sandown. A top AA 4 Gold Pennant Park, worthy of this award.”

South West – Porthtowan Tourist Park, Cornwall

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Campsite of the Year Southwest England Porthtowan Tourist Park“A top-quality family run park enjoying a secluded rural setting on Cornwall’s spectacular north coast, just a mile from Porthtowan beach and within easy reach of the A30. It’s a neat, level grassy site on high ground above the village with plenty of shelter from mature trees and shrubs. This park is outstanding wherever you look, hence the 5-Pennant Platinum grading and this award for the South West region.

AA Glamping Site of the Year

An AA Inspector commented on the winner of AA Glamping Site of the Year, The Secret Garden Glamping,“Adults have the chance to re-live their childhood ‘Alice in Wonderland’ moments at Secret Garden Glamping, a unique holiday destination set in four acres, with idyllic views. Ideally located for touring both the Fylde Coast and Yorkshire Dales, The Secret Garden offers an exceptional glamping experience.”

AA Most Improved Campsite of the Year

An AA Inspector commented on winner of AA Most Improved Campsite of the Year, Back of Beyond Touring Park“This campsite has been consistently renewing and upgrading the facilities at their lovely adults-only park close to the New Forest and Bournemouth on the Hampshire–Dorset border, investing and improving every facet of the business to broaden the appeal to a wider audience with the addition of excellent glamping pods, shepherd’s huts, cabins and a yurt, to ensure a memorable customer experience.”

Campers can expect excellent customer care, a sound eco-friendly ethos, access to peaceful walks and on-site bike hire. A great little site in a popular location close to the coast path, wildlife-rich saltmarshes, and all the attractions along the north Norfolk coast.”

AA Holiday Centre of the Year

In a glorious spot on the north Somerset coast, with panoramic views of the Mendip Hills and Brean Down, the park is just a short stroll to Brean’s famous five-mile sandy beach, where guests can swim, sunbathe or fly a kite.”
