Towy Valley Vintage Club has generously donated £200 to the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Glangwili Hospital.

Towy Valley Vintage Club is a non-profit organisation based in Carmarthenshire. Members of the Club have a wide range of vintage items like tractors, cars and motorbikes.

The Club held its 29th annual vintage show in June at the Pontargothi Showground.

Mared Davies, Member of the Vintage Club, said: “My son, Bleddyn Dafi Bryant, received vital care and support at the unit during the first week of his life. The staff were very supportive and friendly.”

Sandra Pegram, Unit Manager, said: “We are so grateful for this generous donation to the Special Care Baby Unit which will enable us to provide services and activities over and above what the NHS can normally provide. It will make such a positive difference to experience of our patients and their families. A huge thank you from us all!”

Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
