Join Hyfforddiant Ceredigion Training (HCT) for its annual ‘Fun Day’ this Saturday 21 May from 10-4pm at the Llanbadarn Learning Centre in Llanbadarn Fawr.

The Fun Day hopes to raise the profile of HCT, the courses it offers and the fantastic facilities that it has available to learners in Ceredigion, from fully equipped carpentry and plumbing workshops to farriery forges and a fully functional hair salon.

HCT Learners will be giving demonstrations at the Fun Day and there will be a Car Boot on site, in addition to various other activities such as a climbing wall and face painting. All funds raised will be put towards the Learners Fund which purchases valuable resources for learners, with the current drive being towards purchasing a suite of iPads to support Digital Literacy lessons.

Anna Prytherch, Manager at HCT said: “If you’ve been thinking about changing your career and want to learn a new skill or if you want to train in a particular industry, we will have something for everyone whatever they’re interested in.”

If you are interested in having a pitch at the car boot sale there is a cost of £5, for more information please call 01970 633 040 or email info@ceredigiontraining.co.uk , or visit the Facebook page www.facebook.com/HyfforddiantCeredigion

HCT delivers programmes and vocational courses to learners aged 16-25 years old, offering traineeships and apprenticeship (NVQ Levels 2 and 3) in subjects such as motor mechanics, plumbing, childcare, welding, beauty, agriculture and business administration. The learning provider also delivers evening courses to people interested in developing their practical skills in these areas and work with schools to deliver GCSE and A-level equivalent courses in a range of vocational routes.

HCT is part of Ceredigion County Council’s Learning Services department and works closely with schools and Youth Services in the county, in addition to working with the Welsh Government, Careers Wales and other related stakeholders pan-Wales.
