A group of older women performing a short piece on ‘Merched Mentrus,’  (Venturous Women) will take to the road and perform at Theatr Felinfach on Wednesday 25 May for one day only.

The group aims to entertain various audiences in unexpected locations, with the last performance of the day taking place at 2.30pm at Theatr Felinfach to the venue’s social and cultural group of over 50’s – Hwyl a Hamdden – in the company of a special guest and famous adventurer, Lowri Morgan.
The performance is suitable for all ages and includes a short activity to promote the message that venturing is exciting at any age. The event is supported by Gwanwyn.

‘Merched Mentrus’ will be followed by a special celebration for Gwanwyn’s 10th birthday. Gwanwyn celebrates creativity in older age, and aims to offer opportunities for greater participation by older people in the arts. The Gwanwyn Festival is Managed by Age Cymru, the leading charity for people aged over  50 in Wales. For more information please go to www.gwanwyn.org.uk or www.agecymru.org.uk/getinvolved
