A new housing options and housing register service will be going online from Wednesday 1 June 2016, all applicants who are on the register now, need to re-apply before 30 June 2016 to make sure they keep their place on the register.

To register for the first time and to re-register a current application, applicants will need to do so online from Wednesday 1 June via this link: www.ceredigionhousingoptions.cymru
The new online housing options service will allow social housing applications to be made electronically, making the service quicker, more user-friendly and, most importantly, enabling applicants to have greater control over their housing choices.

In Ceredigion there are over 2000 households waiting to be housed, with an average of 90 new applications each month. This new online service will help Ceredigion County Council’s Housing Options team to manage the demand, whilst at the same time making information more accessible for users.

Sue Thomas Strategic Housing Manager said: “We hope this online service will make the application process simpler, and at the same time make the service more transparent and accessible. It’s very important that new and already registered applicants re-apply in June, so that we have all the necessary information on our systems to be able to provide the quality service the people of Ceredigion deserve.”

To help residents and to give advice about the new service, the Council’s Housing Options team will be available at the following venues on the specified dates:
