A new housing options and housing register service will be going online from Wednesday 1 June 2016, all applicants who are on the register now, need to re-apply before 30 June 2016 to make sure they keep their place on the register.
In Ceredigion there are over 2000 households waiting to be housed, with an average of 90 new applications each month. This new online service will help Ceredigion County Council’s Housing Options team to manage the demand, whilst at the same time making information more accessible for users.
Sue Thomas Strategic Housing Manager said: “We hope this online service will make the application process simpler, and at the same time make the service more transparent and accessible. It’s very important that new and already registered applicants re-apply in June, so that we have all the necessary information on our systems to be able to provide the quality service the people of Ceredigion deserve.”
To help residents and to give advice about the new service, the Council’s Housing Options team will be available at the following venues on the specified dates:
• Aberystwyth – West Wales Credit Union, Chalybeate Street, Weekdays 10am – 3pm from Wednesday 1 June
• Aberaeron Library – Friday 3 June & Monday 20 June, 9-5pm
• Cardigan Library – Wednesday 15 June & Wednesday 22 June, 9-5pm
• Lampeter Library – Friday 10 June & Friday 24 June, 9-5pm
• Llandysul Library – Friday 17 June & Monday 27 June, 9-5pm
• Tregaron Library Bus – Wednesday 15 June & Wednesday 22 June, 2.30 – 4.30pm
• New Quay Library – Thursday 23 June & Thursday 30 June, 2.30 – 4.30pm
