Multicultural Week starts in great style

Multicultural Week in Llanelli started in great style on Saturday (17th March) when over 50 people took part in a parade around the Town Centre.

Many of the people in the procession wore their national costumes and brought a carnival atmosphere to the hundreds of watching people.

The parade were accompanied by the music of Klezmic Rays and African drummer Amas from Nigeria.

Chair of the Llanelli Multicultural Network, Becca Rosenthal, said:

” It was great to see so many lovely costumes and flags on the Parade.”

“It certainly created lots of interest in the Town”

“We hope to see everybody at the Leisure Centre on Saturday afternoon when we have a fun packed afternoon for all the family” she added.
