Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) has received theĀ Scoping reportĀ for Bryn Cadwgan Energy Park, currently proposed on the Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion county borders.

This comes as the informal consultation phase on the proposals ended on 30 November. During the consultation Galileo, who is leading and funding the project, has met with local political representatives, and hosted two-drop in events in early November, in Llanddewi Brefi and Pumsaint which were attended by 170 people. Almost 200 pieces of feedback have been received from local organisations, groups and residents, which are currently being reviewed.

Ā Leslie Walker, Senior Project Manager at Galileo says:Ā

“I would like to thank everyone who has engaged with us over the past two months. The feedback received has been very useful for us, as we continue to progress with our plans between now and the statutory consultation phase, expected to take place this time next year.

“In the new year, we will be undertaking further detailed technical assessments including landscape, noise, transport, cultural heritage, peat and ecology and protected species studies. The findings from these studies together with the community and stakeholder feedback will help shape our final proposals.”

Further information and a link to the Scoping report is available on the project website: bryncadwganenergypark.co.uk.

By submitting the report Galileo is asking PEDW for its opinion on the scope and level of detail of the information to be provided in the Environmental Statement that will form part of the Planning application.
