Let’s Talk Sport in partnership with The Rugby League Show from Wrexham-based community radio station Calon FM, are delighted to announce that there will live online radio commentary of all three matches from Big Welsh Derby Day from the iconic BT Sports Cardiff Arms Park.

In 2016. Let’s Talk Sport promised to bring you even more Rugby League than ever before, and we committed to highlight the growth of Welsh Rugby League.

First up at 12:30pm, it’s Conference League South action as the Valley Cougars take on Torfaen Tigers. Last year’s Grand Final runners up Valley Cougars have started this season’s campaign strongly and currently sit at the top of the table having already beaten the Tigers 28-14.  The match sees two Scorpions players go head to head with the Cougars coached by Dafydd Hellard and the Tigers by Kyle Scrivens.

Next up at 2:30pm, it’s a chance to see the finest young talent in South Wales in action with the Scorpions academy lining up against Super League Salford Red Devils who will be sending down a development side coached by former Super League star and current Wales Rugby League assistant coach Garreth Carvell. The game against the Red Devils along with games against Halifax and a tour to Canada will be the highlights of the season for Paul  Emanuelli’s young guns.

Finally at 5:00pm, it’s the big one! South Wales Scorpions will line up against League 1 rivals from Wrexham, the North Wales Crusaders. The Crusaders had a difficult start to the season with financial constraints meaning the departure of several key players including Christiaan Roets who has returned to the Scorpions. New owners have steadied the ship and this year’s derby is set to be one of the most keenly contested for several years.

You can listen to all the action LIVE on http://www.letstalksport.org.uk/ or follow the links on the Rugby League Show Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/rlscalonfm/.

Tickets for the whole day cost just £10 for adults, £5 concessions and £1 for juniors. Hospitality tickets are priced at £30 per person or £250 for a table of ten. This ticket includes access to all three matches plus a celebrity dinner featuring the three former Wales and Great Britain stars. They can be bought by going to www.scorpionsrl.com.
