Two members of the local Romany gypsy community met The Queen and Prince Charles during the royal opening of the fifth Welsh Assembly at The Senedd in Cardiff Bay last week.
Ricky Price and Chelsea Jones from Pembrokeshire’s Unity Project were among a group of young Romany gypsies chosen to represent Welsh youth organisations at the event.
The Unity Project is an advice group for gypsies and travellers in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire.
Chelsea from Castle Quarry, Monkton, Pembroke, presented Her Majesty with a posy while Prince Charles stopped for a chat with the whole group – including Ricky from Kingsmoor Common – on the steps of the Senedd building.
