Pupils at Prendergast CP School have contributed their own ideas to the consultation recently run on the proposals to regenerate Haverfordwest.
The School Council arranged for homework to be set forĀ childrenĀ from Years 2 to 6 to think about how they saw the future of the town centre.
They were asked to consider the river and the town’s heritage and how to best to use the old buildings and present their work as a poster, model, mood board or ‘one liner’.
The children showed their work when Pembrokeshire County Council deputy Leader, Keith Lewis, visited the school.
Councillor Lewis said: “The consultation has gone well and it was very encouraging to see the involvement and engagement of the young people at the school in the project as they hold the future of the town in their hands.”
The work of the pupils is currently on display in County Hall, Haverfordwest.
