Interesting to read about the two new electricity substations to be built on pasture land near Llandyfaelog, Carmarthenshire
One will be for National Grid Electricity Distribution to get power to consumers, the other for Green Gen Cymru to get power from the Bute Energy wind farms out of mid Wales
However, what hasn’t been reported in the press in that Bute will also be building a 500 MW BESS (battery park) which will enable them to trade electricity (buy low, sell high). Is this really the best use of farm land?
