Have fun saving the planet @ the Bee Friendly Solstice Fundraiser
– an evening of food, music, sunshine and sea ..

Aberystwyth Bandstand, Thurs 20th June.

Bee Friendly is being put on by TREEGENERATION in Aberystwyth to raise funds for local wildlife projects, whilst bringing people together to relax and enjoy themselves, and imagine a brighter future for the planet.

We held a similar event back in March at the Bank Vault real ale bar in town, where we raised £300 for a number of local projects, including a wildlife garden at Ysgol Gymraeg. This coming solstice we aim to do the same again, and raise an additional £300 for some more wildlife initiatives in Ceredigion.

Tickets for the event cost £20, with the first £5 from each ticket sale going to a choice of  wildlife projects currently being supported on the TREEGENERATION website. A limited number of Earlybird tickets are up for grabs for £15, so if you want to  to go, it is best to buy your tickets soon!

The event include a meal which is being provided by the Syrian Dinner Project, a refugee organisation based in Aberystwyth. This will be followed by two guest speakers, and a great line-up of local acoustic musicians and bands!

Our guest speakers are Cath Peasley from Eco Hub Aber, and Rhodri Williams from Moelgolomen Farm, both of whom will offer inspiration by telling us how they’re organising to fight the combined climate and nature emergency.

Following this we have a fantastic line up of acoustic musicians, who will entertain into the solstice evening. Performers include C the C, The Monofloralz, and Louise and the Feathers, who are all well known artists from around Ceredigion.

In return for their contributions to wildlife, ticket holders will receive £5 worth of Local Credit rewards for each ticket they buy, entitling them to discounts from local businesses that are supporting the event. Discounts are available on a growing range of goods and services, including arts and crafts, jewellery, home eco-products, bags, vintage clothing, web hosting, and ice cream!

More information about Bee Friendly is available on the TREEGENERATION website, and Facebook.
