Leading the pack by a mile is The Sims 4, racking up a jawdropping 984,590 monthly searches for cheat codes and hacks globally. Building sincere friendships and romances in the game is just as challenging as in real life, pushing players to seek out shortcuts. After all, why make your Sims start from the bottom when you can kick things off with a ‘motherlode’ of 50,000 simoleons to splash around!

No stranger to cheats and mods, Grand Theft Auto 5 races into second place, with a whopping 739,450 global searches in a single month. The chances are high that you’ll bump into cheaters, with a significant number of gamers actively seeking cheats to make themselves invincible and gain the power to do virtually anything – from spawning tanks in the streets to altering gravity!

Coming to no surprise, the third and fourth spots are also taken by titles from the GTA franchise – GTA: San Andreas and GTA: Vice City, boasting 377,000 and 114,830 global monthly searches respectively. With cheaters running rampant, fair play can take a backseat in the open-world game.
