In the lead up to the second weekend of Hay Festival, punters took advantage of the warm weather to catch up on some reading. Today’s speakers included Jools Holland, Caitlin Moran, Elif Shafak, Priscilla Morris, Eve Bohannon and Joseph Coelho.
From climate change to comedy, Friday’s programme offered a wide variation of events with speakers John Bailey, Gavin Bunting, Aditi Mittal and Philip Lymbery. Other events included Isabella Hammad and Claire Kilroy talking about the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2024, and Caleb Azumah Nelson on winning the Dylan Thomas Prize 2024.
