Following the tragic shooting of 49 people in the Pulse night club in Orlando, Florida, CETMA Project, Llanelli LGBT Support Group set up an open book of condolences.

The book has been open to anyone to sign if they called into the CETMA offices or people could post messages through Facebook. These messages would then be added to the book of condolence by a member of LGBT Support.

Project Manager Keith Evans said:

“The response through Facebook has been amazing. As soon as we announced online that people can send their condolences we had various countries contact us.” “We’ve had people send their condolences to the book from UK, Malaysia, Sweden, Netherlands and Venezuela.”

Llanelli LGBT Support were to hold small service for those who lost their lives on Monday 20th June but this event had to be cancelled due to the flooding caused by the torrential rain.

The book is still open to sign and people can call in to CETMA, Units 1 to 4 Enterprise Workshops, 100 Trostre Rd, Llanelli, SA15 2EA.

People can also still leave messages on the Facebook page,

If you’re LGBT, and need someone to talk to, then please call the project who will arrange for you to speak to a volunteer.

The Llanelli LGBT Support Project aims to set up a regular drop in session for LGBTs, give Llanelli LGBTs the ability to comment via all platforms, increase LGBT community participation, and publicise Llanelli LGBT Support via attendance at events.
