Responding to the news that Jo Stevens has said the Welsh government will not have full control over the replacement for European Union funds under a Labour Government, Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader Jane Dodds MS said:
“This is what we have come to expect time and time again with Welsh Labour, promises of devolution only to be betrayed with more centralisation in Whitehall.
People in Wales understand Wales’ needs best, not planners in London and Southeast England. This is deeply disappointing stuff from Welsh Labour and their manifesto shows out of the UK wide parties only the Liberal Democrats are promising a real expansion to devolution to Wales.”
