Commenting on Welsh Government’s pledge to create Gwaith Teg, a Fair Work Fund for Wales, Shavanah Taj, TUC Cymru General Secretary, said: “We warmly welcome Welsh Government’s plan to establish a Fair Work Fund, and look forward to agreeing the details in the Social Partnership Council so that it delivers for workers across Wales.
“There is so much a fund like this can do to improve working conditions, especially for those in low-paid, insecure work. Exploitation and bad employment practices are depressingly common, and this fund shows that Welsh Government is committed to doing what it can to tackle it.”
