Cigar trends from across the world: InterTabac truly international in the ‘classic’ segment

Innovations, trends and another look into the future of the tobacco industry are what trade visitors can expect at InterTabac and InterSupply in Dortmund this year between 19 and 21 September. Numerous well-known brands and manufacturers in the cigar segment and young industry representatives will once again use this forum as an opportunity to present their latest creations to an international trade audience. Retailers looking for new product ideas and trade visitors in search of exciting discoveries will find inspiration at the shows.

Dortmund, 25 June 2024 – As a global industry gathering, InterTabac, in conjunction with InterSupply, will continue its tradition of being the first international port of call for manufacturers, retailers and tobacco industry specialists in 2024. From classic tobacco products such as cigars, cigarettes and pipe tobacco to next-generation products (NGPs) such as e-cigarettes, e-liquids, tobacco heaters, cannabidiol (CBD), point-of-sale products and the entire gamut of shisha and snus – InterTabac and InterSupply bring the broad spectrum of the industry to life year after year. A varied supporting programme with informative presentations and entertaining events that encourage networking and interaction promises to be highly informative and entertaining.

Once again: lots of exhibitors in the cigar space
The cigar segment has been ‘core territory’ at InterTabac since the very beginning. Trade visitors can look forward to a varied experience in Dortmund as renowned manufacturers and up-and-coming producers present their exquisite creations. Specialist retailers have the opportunity to discover new trends, enjoy tried-and-trusted classics and benefit from the exhibitors’ expertise. Augmenting the broad range of tobacco products will be a supporting programme including various cigar-related events. The highly popular cigar pairings and blending workshops will also be happening again. InterTabac is not just the leading exhibition, but also the most international trade show in the tobacco industry. Its global reach enables participants to tap into new markets all over the world and strengthen existing business relationships.

International exhibitors presenting their highlights
Over 100 exhibitors in the cigar segment alone have already secured their stands. A small selection: DREW ESTATE from the US is known for its innovative and creative approaches in the cigar industry. With its ‘Liga Privada’ line, it has gained a loyal following among connoisseurs who appreciate the complex flavours and high quality. The Caldwell Cigar Company will also be travelling to Dortmund from the United States. Caldwell has built a loyal following with lines such as ‘The King is Dead’ and ‘Long Live the King’ and is known for its artistic packaging and brand identity.

Joya de Nicaragua S.A., known as one of Nicaragua’s leading cigar brands and famous for its strong and aromatic cigars, will also be at the show. Popular lines such as ‘Antaño’ and ‘Clásico’ reflect the country’s rich tobacco heritage and offer smokers intense depths of flavour. Other highly respected manufacturers from Nicaragua will also be in attendance at Dortmund, including ALFAMBRA CIGARS S.A.

Valentino Siesto Premium Cigars is from the Dominican Republic, one of the most respected parts of the world when it comes to cigar production. The brand is known for its high-quality tobacco that takes a long time to mature. De Los Reyes Cigars SRL and Ritmo Cigars LLC are also bringing along flavoured varieties from the Dominican Republic.

Meanwhile, Germany’s cigar credentials will be represented by Don Stefano Zigarrenmanufaktur GmbH, among others. This still young brand attaches great importance to quality and uses carefully selected tobaccos combining balanced flavour with top-rate workmanship. Kleinlagel OHG is a company with a rich heritage in importing and selling high-quality cigars, offering cigar lovers a carefully curated selection of premium cigars. Complementing the German line-up will be BOSSNER Golden Mile GmbH, Bentley Tobacco GmbH and others.

Numerous other international exhibitors will also be taking part, highlighting the global relevance of the twin shows. These include Chateau Diadem from Switzerland, J. Cortès Cigars N.V. Vandermaliere Cigar Family from Belgium, Casa Turrent S.A. DE C.V. from Mexico, SINDITABACO BA from Brazil, Tabacos de Costa Rica and Fabrica de Puros International from Honduras, and LAMPERT INTERNATIONAL S.A. and the Longfiller Company from the Netherlands.
