The study analysed various factors such as travel costs, the price of a pint, weekend hotel rates, and the cost of post-night out grub to reveal the UK cities with the biggest increase in the cost of a night over the last two years.

Oxford has seen the biggest increase in the cost of a night out, rising by a whopping 127.6% over the last 2 years. The largest increase was in hotel prices by 160%.

Known for its expensive nights, unsurprisingly, the cost of a night out in London has nearly doubled since 2022. Again, hotel prices have seen the biggest increase in London of the factors we looked at, rising by 120%, averaging £171 a night.

Leicester had the biggest increase in the average public transport cost, at 34.8%.

Bradford had the biggest increase in the average price of a pint, at 45%.

Gloucester, Huddersfield, and Peterborough had the biggest increase in the price of a McDonald’s meal at 40%.

Birmingham had the biggest increase in taxi fares, at 45.8%.

Oxford had the biggest increase in a night in a hotel at 159.6%.
