A BRAND-NEW LIVE EXPERIENCE FOR SCARE LOVERS IS COMING TO CALDICOT CASTLE

Get ready to be terrified! Escape Alive, the heart-pounding Halloween experience, is bringing its spine-chilling thrills to Caldicot Castle this October. After a hugely successful debut with over 12,000 visitors, at Gwrych Castle, North Wales – best known for being the set of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! -the event is expanding to conquer another iconic Welsh location.

Escape Alive at Caldicot Castle will run from October 23rd to November 3rd and whilst the early time slots will offer a family-friendly experience, while later sessions are guaranteed to terrify.

Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home, Caldicott Castle has had many reports and sightings of grey ladies and brown monks that are rumoured haunt the listed castle for many centuries. An apparition of a brown hooded being, thought to be a monk, has been seen and heard chanting.

Prepare to be immersed in a world of fear as you navigate through the castle’s shadowy corridors, encountering terrifying live actors and spine-tingling special effects. Escape Alive promises an adrenaline-fueled journey that will leave you breathless.

But the scares don’t end there. Once you’ve survived the maze, venture into the Gory Grounds, a spooky carnival atmosphere complete with:

·       Creepy carnival games and stalls

·       Delicious street food and sweet treats

·       A lively bar and entertainment area

·       Cozy marshmallow toasting

·       A chilling outdoor cinema showcasing horror films

·       Mind-blowing extreme performers and pop-up shows

·       Fortune-telling tarot readers

Laura Myatt from the Escape Records team tells us ‘After such a successful first event last year, we are so happy to be expanding Escape Alive and bringing it to both North and South Wales. We have such exciting plans to scale the event and make it bigger and better each year.’
