Llanelli Multi-Cultural Network are very pleased and proud to be part of the partnership organising Llanelli’s contribution to celebrating  Black History Month in Carmarthenshire. They are working in partnership with Communities 1st Glanymor and Tyisha and the Black Voluntary Sector Network Wales (BVSNW) to take part in the nationwide celebrations during October.
The Llanelli event features a drumming performance and African cultural workshop….guaranteed to be great fun! After a finger buffet there will be an interactive storytelling session, where everybody is welcome to contribute a personal story. A selection of these stories will be used for a larger national event next year.
The LMCN, on behalf of the partnership we would like to invite you, friends , colleagues, groups and organisations to join with us to Celebrate Black History Month (BHM)in Llanelli on Thursday 21st October from 2pm till 5pm at Lakefield Hal, Lakefield Road, Llanell, SA15 2ST.Â
Paolo Piana of the LMCN said “Everybody, irrespective of background is very welcome at this free event and we would also like to hear from anybody who would like to volunteer on the day.”
“If you would like to come earlier the you are also welcome at the Multicultural Drop In Centre which takes place at the same location from 12pm-2pm”
