Radio and TV all in a day’s work for Amcanu boss
The boss of Burry Port firm Amcanu has been in great demand for TV and radio interviews.
Amcanu managing director Owain Davies has been featured on Radio Wales, Radio Cymru and the Welsh fourth channel S4C in recent weeks.
“Some of the interviews have been to do with our work here at Amcanu, others have been about general economic news and others have reflected my work with the CBI in Wales,” said Mr Davies.
Mr Davies is a member of the Wales Council of the Confederation of British Industry, the UK’s top business lobbying organisation.
“Through my role with the CBI and through our work here at Amcanu, we are frequently asked to comment on different stories for the media.
“A couple of weeks ago I was commenting about the Tata steel investment in the Port Talbot plant, then I was invited to give my views on the current state of the Euro.
“Last week, I was on the Jason Mohammed Radio Wales phone-in, commenting on William Hague’s comment that we have to work harder in Britain.
“On Friday, June 1, I will be part of the regular ‘panel’ on the Jason Mohammed show, so it’s been quite an exciting month one way and another.”
Mr Davies added: “I am always happy to get some air time on TV and radio and push the message that we have some great people and great businesses here in West Wales.”
