The best veg in the UK will be on display at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11.
The National Vegetable Society is holding its National Championship at the Carmarthenshire attraction with a host of glittering prizes on offer to the greatest of British growers.
The titles up for grabs reflect the UK-wide scope and appeal of the event and include: The Jersey NVS Association Trophy, The Dundee Discovery Trophy (for the best dish of five onions) and The Anglesey Trophy, for a dish of 12 pea pods.
If you are a champion veg grower, you have until noon on Saturday September 3 to get your entry in. Entry forms are available from show secretary Arwyn Edwards on 01267 253363 and edwards.arwyn@gmail.com or from the admissions staff at the National Botanic Garden
The Garden is open from 10am to 6pm with last entry at 5pm.
Admission to the Garden is £9.75 (including Gift Aid) for adults and £4.95 for children over five. Entry is FREE for Garden members and parking is free for all.
