Britain’s walking charity Ramblers are bringing their nationwide walking festival ‘Walk About’ to Margam Park on September 10th, including a wide variety of walks and activities.
Ten walks are on offer throughout the day – ranging from family and wheelchair friendly strolls around the park grounds to a strenuous walk through the woodlands of Cwm Philip Valley. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re an experienced walker or maybe taking your first steps. Details of all the walks you can attend during the event, including whether you will need to bring sturdy footwear, can be found here.
To join in, just turn up at 10am and Rambler’s volunteers will be happy to take your details and guide you through the activities and walks on offer. If you would prefer to walk independently or with friends and family, there will be free maps of Ramblers Routes available at the marquee.
Park Manager Michael Wynne said: “I am very pleased that Ramblers are bringing their walking festival to Margam. The walks will allow visitors to explore a wide variety of locations at the park so make sure to come down on September 10th and get involved.”
