Security is being increased at the council’s highways depot in Llanelli following a series of break-ins.

In the latest burglary, around £3,000 worth of equipment including grass strimmers and hedge-cutters were stolen.

There have been a number of break-ins in recent weeks at the depot, which is based in Trostre Industrial Estate.

Police are investigating and CCTV footage is being examined.

The public are asked to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the police. Anyone with any information is also asked to contact the police on 101.
