Cleardata UK Ltd – a leading document management company is expanding its operations in Wales, investing in a new facility on Deeside Enterprise Zone and creating new jobs with Welsh Government support.

The business, headquartered in Northumberland where it has two modern archive storage and document scanning facilities, has acquired a 1.8 acre site from the Welsh Government at Hawarden Business Park, where it is investing £1.5m in the construction of new offices and warehouses.

The investment, which is supported by a £304,000 Property Development Grant, will create 18 new jobs and safeguard a further three.

The company currently has a small regional office in Broughton, Flintshire where it employs 3 staff and it is this operation that will expand thanks to the support from the Welsh Government.

Cleardata operates in a secure environment and its document management, scanning and archive storage facilities are purpose built and protected by enhanced fire detection systems, water detection and biometric finger print entry systems. The new facility on Hawarden Business Park will include an 18,000 sq. ft. warehouse and 4,000 sq. ft. office and will be built to the same stringent specifications, with work already underway.

Economy Cabinet Secretary Ken Skates said:

“We are very much a pro-business Government and committed to working with companies to support their growth so I am delighted that Cleardata has chosen to expand and invest in Wales.

“The company will be creating a range of new job opportunities as it expands its operation in Wales to meet the growing demand for its document scanning, archive storage and document management services around the UK.”

Cleardata, which employs 75 people, promotes a range of services to help organisations reduce costs and go paperless, by transforming the way data comes in and out of their business.  The company offers outsourced document scanning, secure document storage with digital retrieval, outsourced mailroom, invoice processing services, cloud document management and mobile application development.

Cleardata Managing Director, David Bryce said:

“Our company grew by 22% last year and is set to grow faster again, after winning almost two million pounds of new contracts, attracting business from around the UK.  In order to sustain the growth we needed to create additional operational space and to increase the capacity of our archive storage facility.

“I am delighted we have taken the decision to expand in Wales, creating inward investment into the region. The expansion will support economic and employment growth through the creation of exciting new job opportunities within the area. Our business also needs to train and recruit new members of staff for varied roles within the organisation”

“Cleardata’s growth has been fuelled by the move towards digitisation and the cloud. We would welcome anyone interested in seeing how we can help their business save costs and become more efficient with their data and documentation.  For further details visit our website.”
