Where’s Dai Green can you help find him?
Llanelli’s world champion hurdler and Olympic Gold medal prospect Dai Greene was turning heads in Llanelli at the weekend when he popped up in St Elli Shopping Centre Claire’s Accessories.
Well, at least a life sized 6ft 1ins cardboard cut-out of Dai did as part of a summer competition in the count-down to the Olympics posing the question : Where is Dai Greene.
Dai was busy winning another competition at the weekend running down his strict training schedule to the Olympics but Carmarthenshire council are determined Dai is still in the hearts and minds of shoppers and visitors to Llanelli even if he cannot be home in person. Â Anyone who spots Dai every Friday peering out from a town centre shop or market stall should tweet where they have seen him and they could win a prize. Where will he be this Friday? Winners will be selected at random. You can also follow the search on Twitter using the hash tag #spotDaiGreene or Carmarthenshire council’s Facebook site.
Dai was brought up in Felinfoel and is a former pupil of Coedcae School. He is one of Britain’s best hopes for a medal in what is known at the Olympic “killer event” the 400-meter hurdles.
All you have to do is Twitter or get on Facebook in when you spot Dai Greene over the competition period this Friday June 29th and July 6th, 13th, 21st and 28th.
