Keep Wales Tidy events in July 2012 

  • 9th, 10th & 11th – Management works: Morfa Berwig – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.669894,-4.107685&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=16 (9.30am – 3pm). Footpath / access improvements will be the focus of the work. Some tools and equipment will be provided. These work parties are not suitable for children.

  • 13th – Beach clean: Cefn Sidan – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.681736,-4.298953&hl=en&ll=51.681709,-4.29913&spn=0.007224,0.021136&num=1&t=h&z=16&layer=t (10.30am – 12.30pm). Tools and equipment will be provided. Please meet Dan from KWT just outside the entrance to Pembrey Country Park (will be wearing hi vis jacket). Anyone wishing to come along later must let the staff on the gate know that you are there for the beach clean.
  • 16th – Enhancement works: Capel Libanus – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.970077,-3.919845&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=16&layer=t (10am – 3pm). Work will focus on giving the chapel grounds a general tidy up, i.e. grass cutting, litter picking, footpath maintenance and tree pruning. Some tools and equipment will be available. This event is not suitable for children.
  • 23rd – River clean: Garnant – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.804396,-3.906369&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=16&layer=t (10am – 1pm). Tools and equipment will be available. Please bring waders / wellingtons if you have them.
  • PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MEETING POINTS ARE WHERE THE ARROW IS POINTING, NOT POINT A.

    All (unless otherwise stated) are welcome to join the above events. You are welcome to stay for the duration or any time you can give will be greatly received. For all day events, please bring lunch as we don’t provide this, and the work locations are often not near food outlets / shops.

    Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

    Please dress sensibly to suit the weather conditions on the day. Suitable footwear should be worn also (not sandals / flip flops, formal shoes); safety boots are ideal, but anything fairly rugged will be acceptable.
