Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics Club (PSNGC) has been congratulated for gaining the insport Bronze Club award.

They are the second Pembrokeshire club to achieve the award, which was presented to them by Joanne Gould from Welsh Gymnastics.

The programme is designed by Disability Sport Wales (DSW) and aims to support clubs in developing inclusive provision, opportunity and practices which will ensure that disabled people gain access to the level of participation and performance they require.

Angela Miles, the DSW officer for Pembrokeshire, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the club who have overcome a difficult time as they had to leave their premises at Thornton Industrial Estate in Milford Haven and were unsure if they would be able to continue.”

“The club has now moved to Milford Haven Leisure Centre and the insport bronze award is a credit to their ongoing work in disability sport.”

Presenting the award, Joanne Gould said: “insport’s impact on the club’s development is shown through its strengthened governance, the training provided to volunteers and the communication to players and families.”
