One year on! Our Microsoft Certified PC Recycling Scheme
Â
It’s been a year and what a year it has been for our Microsoft registered PC recycling scheme.
During the last twelve months we’ve successfully refurbished numerous personal computers and laptops for use by local individuals and small charities/not for profit organisations with demand outstripping supply.
In addition to stopping older computers going into the landfill where their components could only harm the environment we’ve also broken lots of faulty and irreparable computers into their parts allowing those parts to be used again and again, with more modern parts such as memory being put into older computers to give them a performance boost.
We’ve Trained Llanelli Volunteers.
In addition to the recycling we’ve also trained volunteers so that they too can repair or refurbish faulty machines giving them an essential skill set for the 21st century.
Some of these volunteers have gone on to work in IT or set up their own local businesses and it’s all thanks to you so we at Llanellitown.com would like to thank everyone who has donated a PC that otherwise would have gone into land fill.
Join our Waiting List
If you’d like to join our waiting list for a refurbished PC please email – refurb@llanellitown.com
please be advised that pc’s are available on a first come, first served basis and demand is often greater than supply. Each pc is tested to ensure fitness of components and every hard drive is formatted for data protection prior to a fresh installation of a genuine Microsoft operating system which has been installed under the terms and conditions of the Microsoft Registered Refurbisher scheme of which Llanellitown.com is a member.
The programme allows us to access GENUINE Microsoft licenses to supply only to certain customer groups such as educational institutions, non-profit charitable organisations and other approved recipients.
if you’d like to donate an old pc/laptop or would like to added to the waiting list for a refurbished pc or laptop please email refurb@llanellitown.com
Thank You!
Llanellitown.com would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported the scheme so far, we are really touched and overwhelmed by the generosity and support we’ve received thus far for this exciting and environmentaly sound scheme.
