West Wales Poundies charity receives new van to help animals in need
West Wales Poundies has received a new van from Support Adoption For Pets to allow the charity safely transport dogs in its care without relying on its volunteers own vehicles. The rescue can now transport the dogs easily between foster homes, kennels and vets.
Based in Carmarthenshire, the charity works tirelessly to re-home and save endangered dogs from Welsh council pounds.
Amy Wilson, Charity Manager at Support Adoption For Pets, said: “It is a real privilege to help an organisation that works so hard to save and re-home dogs across Wales. They are doing a superb job, and the effort the rescue puts in is an inspiration.”
Support Adoption For Pets is an independent charity established by Pets at Home in 2006. Since then it has helped over 1,000 re-homing centres and animal welfare organisations across the UK. In addition to it’s fundraising work, it also runs dedicated adoption centres in nearly 400 Pets at Home stores.
