Sian Denman and her brother Mark Davies are taking on the world at the London Marathon on 23rd April for Action for Children. The Llanelli siblings have been busy training and recently ran the Llanelli half marathon as part of their preparations.
They’ve also been involved in many fundraising activities for the leading charity and have already raised over £4000.
Sian, who also works for Action for Children’s Carmarthen Parenting service in the town as a family support practitioner, said: ‘We’re both thrilled to be running in one of the world’s most famous races and to be doing it for Action for Children is wonderful. We’ve loved the training and can’t wait to actually run the race itself, it will be a brilliant experience. We’re also incredibly grateful to our friends and family in Llanelli who’ve helped us raise over £4,000, their generosity has been overwhelming in helping those children, young people and families in our community who need it most.’
