Marc ansawdd ar gyfer iechyd a llesiant staff y GIG yn lleol

Yn dilyn proses asesu drwyadl yn ddiweddar, mae Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Hywel Dda wedi cyflawni achrediad aur a phlatinwm ar y Safon Iechyd Gorfforaethol.

Y Safon Iechyd Gorfforaethol yw’r nod ansawdd cenedlaethol ar gyfer iechyd a llesiant yn y gweithle, gan gydnabod arferion a gweithleoedd da sy’n targedu materion salwch allweddol y gellir eu hatal.

Gwnaeth arfer da mewn mentrau iechyd a llesiant, ymgysylltu â gweithwyr, yn ogystal ag uwch arweinwyr helpu’r Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol i gipio’r wobr bwysig hon. Mae’r aseswyr wedi tynnu sylw at y “gwahaniaeth gwych a mesuradwy mewn gwelliant” mewn meysydd fel y gwerthoedd sefydliadol, cyfathrebu a’r ymdeimlad cyffredinol o lesiant ymysg staff, fel rhan o’u hasesiad.

Ar gyfer yr ail-ddilysu Platinwm, nodwyd ymgysylltu â’r gymuned, gwaith adeiladu cyfalaf, cyfleusterau, caffael, trafnidiaeth a mentrau cyflogaeth a sgiliau, i gyd fel meysydd o arfer eithriadol o dda.

Mae Grŵp Llywio ‘Iechyd a Llesiant yn y Gwaith’ yn darparu arweiniad a chefnogaeth i’r Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol wrth hwyluso iechyd a llesiant staff fel rhan annatod o’i amcanion corfforaethol.

Meddai Lisa Gostling, Cyfarwyddwr y Gweithlu a Datblygu Sefydliadol: “Rydym yn falch iawn i fod wedi ennill yr achrediad aur a phlatinwm sy’n dangos ein bod wedi cynnal y lefel hon o safon ers ein asesiad diwethaf yn 2013. Rydym yn parhau i adeiladu ar ddatblygiadau iechyd a llesiant ar gyfer ein staff a’n hymrwymiad i’r agenda iechyd corfforaethol.”

Meddai Bernardine Rees, OBE, Cadeirydd Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Hywel Dda: “Mae hyn yn dangos yn glir y cynnydd mawr yr ydym yn ei wneud mewn perthynas ag ystod eang o ddatblygiadau mewn ymgysylltu â chyflogeion, iechyd a diogelwch, monitro a gwerthuso, ac yn arbennig mewn perthynas ag ysmygu, iechyd meddwl a llesiant, anhwylderau cyhyrysgerbydol, camddefnyddio alcohol a sylweddau, maethiad a gweithgarwch corfforol.

“Hoffwn dalu teyrnged i’n holl staff sy’n ymwneud â’n tywys ni drwy’r broses asesu a diolch am gyfraniad pawb i sicrhau bod iechyd a llesiant ein staff yn parhau i fod o’r pwys mwyaf ar draws Hywel Dda.”

 

Quality mark for health and wellbeing of local NHS staff

Hywel Dda University Health Board has achieved both gold and platinum accreditation for the Corporate Health Standard following a recent rigorous assessment process.

The Corporate Health Standard is the national mark of quality for health and wellbeing in the workplace, recognising good practice and work places which target key preventable ill health issues.

Good practice in health and wellbeing initiatives, employee engagement, plus senior leadership all helped the University Health Board scoop this top accolade. The assessors highlighted the “brilliant and measurable difference in improvement” in areas such as the organisational values work, communication and the general sense of wellbeing among staff, as part of their assessment.

For the Platinum re-validation our community engagement, capital build work, facilities, procurement, transport and  employment & skills initiatives, were all highlighted as areas of exceptional practice.

A ‘Health and Wellbeing at Work’ Steering Group provides leadership and support to the University Health Board in facilitating the health and wellbeing of staff as an integral part of its corporate objectives.

Lisa Gostling, Director of Workforce & Organisational Development said: “We are delighted to be have achieved the gold and platinum accreditation which demonstrates that we have maintained this level of standard since our last assessment in 2013. We are continuing to build on health and wellbeing developments for our staff and our commitment to the corporate health agenda.”

Bernardine Rees, OBE, Chair of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “This clearly shows the great progress we are making in relation to a wide range of developments in employee engagement, health and safety, monitoring and evaluation, and particularly in relation to smoking, mental health and wellbeing, musculoskeletal disorders, alcohol and substance misuse, nutrition and physical activity.

“I wish to pay tribute to all our staff involved in getting us through the assessment process and for everyone’s contribution to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our staff remains paramount across Hywel Dda.”
