Moped rider remains in critical condition in hospital, police inquiries continue.
A 17 year old moped rider remains in a critical condition in hospital following a road traffic collision involving a moped and a Renault Clio.
The collision involving Jay Roper from the Llanelli area happened at 3.20pm on Thursday 23rd August outside Ty Elwyn in hospital.
“This young man is still in a critical condition in the Heath Hospital in Cardiff,” said Sergeant Ian Price of Dyfed Powys Police’s roads policing unit. “This is a very stressful time for Jay’s family, as I’m sure you can appreciate. And while they are thankful for all the support and messages of good will they would appreciate privacy, particularly from the press, while they look after Jay.
“In the meantime inquiries into the cause of the accident are very much ongoing, and we are still appealing for any witnesses who have not already done so to please come forward.
“Officers can be contacted at Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit on 101.”
