Ann Dymock is doing the velocity zipwire challenge for Age Cymru Sir Gar on 9 September. Ann is raising funds for Age Cymru Sir Gar, a charity that supports older people throughout Carmarthenshire. All funds raised will remain with the charity in Carmarthenshire and be used to support older people.
The velocity zipwire, (see link below) based in North Wales is the longest zipwire in Europe and the fastest in the world. Ann is the chief officer of Age Cymru Sir Gar and she and a group of 11 others, including Harvey Jones, Chair of the charity are stepping out of their comfort zone to hang high above a quarry and raise funds for the charity. Ann says “I can’t believe I signed myself up for this, it’s definitely out of my comfort zone and the closer it gets the more scared I am of doing it, but 11 great people have volunteered to do this challenge and raise money for the charity and the least I can do is join them. “
