Office furniture sale

BIDS are being invited for Carmarthenshire County Council office furniture which is surplus to requirements.

Most of the items are desks and cupboards with some other items such as filing cabinets, they are all being made available to any interested parties.

An open day to view the furniture will be held on Wednesday, August 23, and Thursday, August 24, between 9.30am and 4pm at the council Offices on the Coleg Sir Gar, Pibwrlwyd Campus in Carmarthen.

Items are offered on a sealed bid tender process.  All sealed bids will be deposited with the officer at the open day, with the tender process ending at 4pm on August 24.

Property executive board member Cllr David Jenkins said: “The furniture is being made available for sale following an office rationalisation process.

“It is available to anyone, whether they are companies or individuals.”

The successful bidder will be contacted on completion of the open days. All items are offered on an as seen basis and the following regulations and conditions of tender are:-

·        Carmarthenshire County Council is not bound to accept the highest or any tender and will not accept any tender submitted after the
closing date

·        The tenderer is to inspect the item(s) for himself/herself and be aware of its condition and to check dimensions where appropriate.

·        All tenders are subject to VAT at the standard rate.

·        Successful tenderers must pay in full for all items before removal.

·        A collection day will be arranged for Wednesday September 30 between 9.30am and 4pm.  All items are to be collected and removed on that day

·        The tender form is the basis of a legal contract whereby the tenderers offer to purchase at their quoted price subject to acceptance by
Carmarthenshire County Council.

·        The council will not have any liability for the items once they are collected.
