Carmarthenshire Rural Enterprise Fund
The first firm to be awarded a grant from a fund to develop new and existing business premises in Carmarthenshire has completed its project.
Sauro Architectural Design was awarded £60,000 from the Carmarthenshire Rural Enterprise Fund towards transforming a derelict building in Elliston Terrace, Carmarthen, into its new headquarters creating three jobs.
Established in April 2012, Sauro Architectural Design Ltd is a firm of Chartered Architectural Technologists specialising in residential and commercial design. The practice offers professional architectural services to both private and commercial clients for a various types of building projects and market sectors.
Director Peter Sauro said: “The funding has enabled us to transform a dilapidated building in the centre of Carmarthen into contemporary office accommodation for Sauro Architectural Design Ltd.
“As a result, the practice is now able to grow and create further employment. Vacancies are currently being advertised.
“We are delighted with the outcome of the project and express our thanks to everyone involved.”
Council Leader Cllr Emlyn Dole, who has executive board responsibility for economic development, said: “The Carmarthenshire Rural Enterprise Fund exists to create employment opportunities by offering grants so that businesses can make the improvements they need to develop their premises.
“I’m delighted that the first business to be awarded a grant, Sauro Architectural Design, has completed the work and am pleased to have been given the opportunity to attend the official opening and see the benefits of the scheme for myself.”
