Two of the best Sundays lunches in the UK

Carmarthenshire is the place to be for Sunday lunch according to one of the UK’s largest newspaper.
The Guardian have named Wright’s Food Emprorium in Llanarthney and Llansteffan’s Inn at the Sticks in their top 50 of eateries in Britain serving up the best weekend meal. 
The county food providers were two of only three Welsh businesses singled out by the leading newspaper’s food and drink experts.
It comes after figures recently revealed the value of tourism in Carmarthenshire has increased again and is now worth a staggering £370million to the local economy.
Carmarthenshire County Council received its annual figures from STEAM – the Scarborough Tourism Economic Activity Monitor – which provides an official trend map of tourism throughout the UK and gives a clear picture of the money being spent locally by visitors.
Figures showed that the value of tourism, the impact it has on the local economy, went up by 2.7 per cent in 2016 compared to the previous year.
The council’s executive board member for leisure, culture and tourism, Cllr Peter Hughes Griffiths said: “This is wonderful news and fantastic coverage on a national stage. It is the icing on the cake following the recent tourism figures. It’s appreciated even more when out of only three eateries in Wales Carmarthenshire is the location for two of them. We really are holding our own in a hugely competitive and diverse tourism market, which shows that we are offering something very special to our residents and visitors.”

Sir Gaerfyrddin yw’r lle i fod i fwynhau Cinio Dydd Sul yn ôl un o bapurau newydd mwyaf y Deyrnas Unedig.
Mae’r Guardian wedi enwi Wright’s Food Emporium yn Llanarthne ac Inn at the Sticks yn Llansteffan ymhlith y 50 o fwytai gorau ym Mhrydain sy’n paratoi prydau ar y penwythnos. 
Roedd y bwytai hyn o’r sir yn ddau o dri busnes yn unig o Gymru a gafodd eu canmol gan arbenigwyr bwyd a diod y papur newydd blaenllaw.
Daw’r newyddion hyn ar ôl i ffigyrau diweddar ddatgelu bod gwerth y diwydiant twristiaeth yn Sir Gaerfyrddin wedi cynyddu unwaith eto ac mae bellach yn cynrychioli gwerth syfrdanol o £370 miliwn i’r economi leol.
Mae Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin wedi derbyn ei ffigyrau blynyddol drwy fodel Monitro Gweithgaredd Twristiaeth Economaidd Scarborough (STEAM), sy’n darparu map swyddogol o dueddiadau twristiaeth ar draws y Deyrnas Unedig ac sy’n rhoi darlun clir o’r arian sy’n cael ei wario yn lleol gan ymwelwyr.
Mae’r ffigyrau wedi datgelu bod gwerth twristiaeth, yr effaith y mae’n ei chael ar yr economi leol, wedi cynyddu 2.7% yn 2016 o gymharu â’r flwyddyn flaenorol.
Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Peter Hughes Griffiths, yr Aelod o’r Bwrdd Gweithredol dros Hamdden, Diwylliant a Thwristiaeth: “Mae hyn yn newyddion bendigedig ac yn rhoi sylw gwych i ni ar lwyfan genedlaethol. Yn dilyn y ffigyrau twristiaeth diweddar, mae’n goron ar y cyfan. Rydym yn ei werthfawrogi hyd yn oed yn fwy i glywed mai yn Sir Gaerfyrddin y mae dau o’r tri bwyty yng Nghymru sydd ar y rhestr. Rydym wir yn dal ein tir mewn marchnad amrywiol sy’n gystadleuol dros ben, ac mae hynny’n dyst ein bod yn cynnig rhywbeth arbennig iawn i’n preswylwyr a’n hymwelwyr.”
